About ipod shuffle
Flash memory (in place of a hard drive) was introduced for the first time in ipod shuffle. The shuffle offers two models: in 512 MB (up to 120 4-minute songs encoded at 128 kbits/s ) and 1Gb ( up to 240). Ipod Shuffle has smaller processing power. Thus it cannot play Apple Lossless or AIFF encoded audio files. The Shuffle has a Sigmatel processor. It has no screen, thus offers limited options for navigating between song tracks. It is the lightest ipod weighing less than one ounce (22g). The shuffle can be used as a USB mass storage device. The ipod Shuffle is regarded as having one of the best sounding audio systems.
