Ford vehicles come with a variety of different stereos and equipment installed. This makes the compatibility more complicated and specific. The Dension gateway 100 actually comes in four part, each covering a specific range of vehicles and stereos. (Check compatibility tab above)  GW16FO1 which coverers older vehicles, GW16FC1 & GW16FD1 which cover the majority of vehicles & GW16FD2 which cover the sony stereos.

Once connected the gateway 100 can be controlled in two different ways. iPod mode and Gateway mode.

iPod mode is when the ipod is used to select all the music selections. You still retain steering wheel controls where skip forward and backwards can be used.

Gateway mode is when the stereo and steering wheel can be used to browse through tracks, artists, playlists and a few other options. This mode locks out the iPod.

New Dension Gateway 100 / 300 Can kits.

The current Dension model numbers for the Gateway 100 is GW16 and 300 is GW33. The Stock Code in the compatibility chart will follow either of them. E.g GW16FD1

If the vehicle is fitted with factory Bluetooth, this kit will NOT work.

FD1 & FD2 Text will be displayed on the cluster screen not on the stereo.

*PLEASE NOTE. THE FD2 IS ONLY COMPATIBLE IF THE VEHICLE HAS STEERING CONTROLS ON THE STEERING WHEEL ITSELF, NOT ON A STALK. If you have the Sony Head Unit, and do not have the steering wheel controls as shown below, you will require a Universal Modulator.
