Dension Gateway Lite GWL1RE8

Previously Dension had a Gateway 100 for Renault vehicles, however when they released the Gateway Lite range, they decided the Gateway 100 version was an unnecessary expense as the only real benefit it has over the Lite is an AUX line in. The Gateway Lite however offers a USB port which more than offsets the loss of AUX.

The GWL1RE8 connects to the standard VDO stereos found in the majority of Renault vehicles (check compatibility). The Renault VDO units unfortunately do not support text, meaning all album and track searching must be done from the stereo. The Gateway Lite does allow you to cycle tracks forward and back using the stereo and the factory installed steering wheel controls.

The kit connects to the CD changer port on the back of the unit providing CD quality audio, along with charging the iPod, without the need for additional connections.

Please note, the Espace stereo is located in the boot, and requires the extension cable to mount the iPod in the front of the vehicle (Included at an additional cost).

Terms and conditions

If you the customer, recommends a friend to iPodCarKitDirect you are entitled to join the customer loyalty scheme. Any iPodCarKitDirect customer is entitled to join the scheme providing the following is met;

Answer:

Unfortunately most renaults do not use full CAN bus systems for the stereo information so text is not possible.
