The Gateway Lite for BMW is designed to replace the Gateway 100 where minimal or no text display is available in the vehicle. Dension have simplified the functions and control of the Gateway Lite to ensure easy track navigation and selection. However the simplified version does not effect quality and still offers a fully digital connection into the CD Port.

The Gateway Lite still retains most of the features the Dension Gateway 100 offers, including charging of all iPods & iPhones, stereo and steering wheel controls for track advancing and volume. The real difference between the kits is the way in which the tracks are selected. The Lite only allows navigation from the iPod / iPhone.

The Gateway Lite allows the user to browse simply through tracks and albums how the iPod was designed for, rather than the complex menu system that dictates the usability of the Gateway 100, which is primarily designed for vehicles that displays text on the stereo or cluster matrix on the dashboard.

Other advantages of the Gateway Lite for BMW is the additional USB connectivity as standard, this allows up to 8Gb of extra music to load into the system for your musical pleasure.

Terms and conditions

Any iPodCarKitDirect customer is entitled to join the scheme providing the following is met;

Question:

"Why do you charge more for the 16:9 Navigation selection?"

Answer:

The reason we charge more for vehicles with the Navigation head unit, is because we supply 4metres of extension cable to allow you to run the iPod connection from the boot of the car (where the radio module is located) to the drivers posistion.

Question:

"I have seen that the Dice Silverline kit connects to the CD changer prewired lead in the boot, is this also the case for the Dension Gateway Lite?"

Answer:

The Gateway Lite connects to the back of the stereo (or radio tuner in the boot if fitted with the Navigation Stereo). Not all vehicles have the prewired lead so it made sense for Dension to offer more vehicles compatibility.

Question:

"I would like to use this kit along side my factory CD changer, is this possible?"

Answer:

The vehicles stereo system can only support one CD Changer at once, so unfortunately as this kit is a CDC emulator it cannot work alongside the factory changer. However, as the kit links your iPod/iPhone to the vehicle you benefit from more music storage that 6 CD's have to offer.
