The Gateway Lite MOST is Densions answer to an affordable but integrated solution for Mercedes vehicle with non-text compatible stereos. It works by emulating a CD Changer, connected to the stereo via the fibreoptic ring. As the connection is digital, crystal clear audio is played back from the iPod through the vehicles entertainment system.

The GWL1MO1 is based on the GW51MO2 (Gateway 500) but differs slightly in both components and functions it gives. The unit itself does not have the software chip that converts the MP3 track titles to send to the stereo (as it is designed for vehicles non-text capable). The unit only features one 9 Pin connection port as no additional addons are available (the Gateway 500 has an additional port for AVR and BTA). The kit also does not include the AUX switch box meaning any factory fitted CD Changer must be removed and cannot be retained using a selector switch. The Gateway Lite MOST Fibre Optic System is non text compable, Please refer to the Gateway 500 if you require text display (see compatibility).

The Dension Gateway Lite MOST is compatible with all Audio 20, Audio 50 and Command units from 2004 onwards. Please note however if you have a Command, the Gateway 500 would be the better choice as you will be able to get text from the iPod displayed on the head unit, compatibility restrictions apply.

The Mercedes Audio 10 and Audio 30 are not compatilbe with the Dension Gateway Lite MOST.

Any iPodCarKitDirect customer is entitled to join the scheme providing the following is met;

No, unfortunately the Gateway Lite MOST does not support text.

This kit connects via the fiberoptic cables and simulates a CD Changer. As the kit does not include a switchable connection it does not allow for CD retention.
