The Gateway 100 ipod car adapter offers an iPod and iPhone input into your vehicles stereo system. The Gateway 1oo offers complete integration for Citroens with RD4 stereos and part integration for RD3 and RT3 stereos. The kit connects into the stereos cd changer port to offer ipod music playback, ipod and iphone charge and controls through the steering wheel and stereo. Citroens with RD4 stereos also receive text information and displays it on the vehicle display in addition to the previous features, making it the most integrated iPod car kit on the market for Citroen.

The gateway 100 does not have limits or restrictions dependant on device, so you can connect all of your iPods & iPhones and receive the same functionality. It charges older as well as new 5V charging devices & track information is displayed regardless of device (for RD4 stereos) making the gateway 100 is the ultimate iPod car adapter. 

You get to select either of two devices to connect the iPod, a Dock Cable or Active Cradle. Both offer the same functionality and no other benefits to either. The only difference is how and where the device is stored. The Dock Cable is usually selected if you want the iPod hidden & the Cradle choosen if you want to mount on your dashboard.

The kit is designed to work and be controlled in two different ways, firstly in iPod mode and secondly in gateway mode. This is standard throughout the enitre gateway 100 range however the controls may be different.

iPod mode is when all the music selections are made directly from the iPod, This can be a quick and easy method of selecting your favourite track, artist or album but is usually used for vehicles without the ability to display text (RD3 & RT3). In ipod mode you still retain steering wheel controls for you can forward and back tracks and change volume.

Gateway mode is when the kit is fully controlled via the steering wheel & stereo. You can still select artisit, albums, playlists and other menus, however the iPod / iPhone screen is locked out so if you dont have text display it can be very difficult to to navigate through the tracks you want to listen to.
