This option isn't available for all Audi vehicles unfortunately and only works on vehicles with the CAN-BUS system installed with a full cluster display in the drivers console (between the speedo and the rev gauge).  If you dont have this system we recommend the Gateway Lite for Audi. Which is in essence the same kit but with a simplified navigation structure & an additional USB input.

How It Works.

Densions Gateway 100 come in two forms for Audi; CAN and Non-CAN. The greatest benefit of the Gateway 100 iPod adapter is the Text support. So if you don't have CAN & Full Cluster you should look at the Gateway Lite as another option.

The Gateway 100 like every other CD emulator works by connecting into the CD Changer port on the back of the stereo. You will lose the CD changer if you connect the Gateway 100 system. Once connected and powered you select the CD Changer button on the stereo to access the Gateway menu. From here you have various ways of controlling the music you listen to (See the manual for extended options).

You have two ways of connecting your iPod or iPhone to the system. Select a Dock Cable or Active cradle from the drop down menu's above.

Dock Cable - is the perfect way of keeping the iPod hidden when in use. You can hide in the Glove Box or Central Console to keep out the way of prying eyes
Active Cradle - is for mounting the iPod on the Dash or console ready for use if required.

Dension Gateway 100 & Audi Vehicles

The Gateway 100 CAN comes in two different kits for Audi. GW16AC1 and GW16AC2. Each have different compatibility with audi vehicles, however they are operated in the same way and provide the same functions.

The GW16AC1 is for Audi vehicles with the 12 Pin Quadlock Connection. The GW16AC2 is for the 20Pin ISO connection. Please check compatibility to see which product you require.
